Cost planner

Turn a quote into a year-1 number.

Enter the people you would pay for and the prices you were given. You can also start from a published list price when the vendor prints one. ServiceTitan does not. The planner will not fill in a ServiceTitan dollar amount.

Published list prices load from this site. Your numbers stay in this page.

These totals are planning numbers. Actual cost can differ because of sales tax, discounts, add-ons, payment-processing fees, message or phone fees, extra users, and the contract you sign. A list price is not a quote for your company. Confirm the figure before you pay it.

Your team

Jobber describes a user as anyone who accesses the account to view or manage the schedule. ServiceTitan describes a per-technician price. This count starts as technicians plus office employees. Change it if the quote counts people differently.

This only changes the planning view. The year-1 total still includes the full onboarding fee once.

For a flat quote, enter the total monthly subscription. For per-person pricing, enter the rate for one person. For a base-plus-extra quote, enter the base.

Optional. Leave blank for zero. Do not guess an add-on you were not quoted.

Leave blank for zero. Published pages often do not list this fee.

How the arithmetic works

  • A flat amount is used as the monthly subscription.
  • A per-login amount is multiplied by the login count.
  • A per-technician amount is multiplied by technicians only.
  • A base-plus-extra amount is the base plus the extra-user price times the logins above the included count. Logins inside the included count add nothing.
  • Monthly add-ons are added every month. Onboarding is added once.
  • Year-1 total = recurring monthly total × 12 + onboarding.
  • The ongoing annual total leaves onboarding out.
  • Cents are rounded half up only when a total is split into an average month. The year-1 total itself is exact to the cent.

Worked example, using a Housecall Pro list price rather than a personal quote: Essentials at $149 per month for 5 included users, no add-ons, and no onboarding is $1,788 for the year. That sentence is also on the comparison page. If you have six logins, the planner keeps $149 and warns you, because Essentials does not publish an extra-user price.
